Amanda C. Brinker, 14, was killed by someone she considered a friend. She went to meet him in a park and he beat her to death with a jack handle. There has never been a clear motive for the murder. He hit her on the back of the head until she was dead, then dragged her body to an embankment and tossed it over and into the water.
